Weekly Web links

The following links will take you directly to the web pages for White Rose Mathematics learning and Hamiton Trust for English. Once in these websites you will have to navigate your way to the learning activities for each particular year group, week and daily activities.

PDF copies will also be available in easy access, week by week tabs on the school website.

Friday Arithmetic Tests

Answer sheets for each year group are listed below. Questions can be printed out on one page if selecting to print pages 2-5 and then indicating how many sheets you want on one page.

There is no set time limit for the papers but completing one question per minute is a good indicator of a child's ability to process and answer fluently.

3 in 3 Daily Activities

Children at BHJS are familiar with 3 in 3 activities. They form a significant part of each pupil's learning in all classes, in all year groups during a school week. We would like each child to attempt one maths, one reading and one GPS activity each day of the school week.

Once children in Year 3, 4 and 5 have completed the 3 in 3 for their year group we would like them to start the materials for the next year up (Yr3 try Yr4, Yr4 try Yr5 and Yr5 try Yr6). This will allow them an opportunity to become familiar with some of the terms and expectations for the year ahead.

Year 6 have an end of year provision to round off their learning from the Key Stage 2 curriculum objectives taught over the last four years.
