School Ethos
We believe at BHJS that all its staff, children, parents and governors should work together with common goals or aims. This is reflected in our mission statement, shared vision and agreed set of values.
At BHJS the staff put the children at the very centre of everything we do. Parents, governors and other stakeholders are encouraged to become fully involved. A team approach is crucial with the whole school community working together and recognising the role they each play and the strengths they bring.
Children are confident about their school, because they know their opinion is valued and they are taught well.
School Values, vision, mission and motto
The school's values, vision and mission were reviewed in 2021-2022 through consultation with staff, pupils, parents and governors. These (along with a school motto) were approved by the governing body in the 2022 Summer term.
The values underpin who we are and what is important to us. The vision outlines the direction of the school and what we strive to be. The mission states what we want to achieve day-to-day. The motto is to encourage and inspire members of our community.
